Rockingham Cars and Coffee

A small community of car lovers came together on Sunday, to show off and enjoy their beloved motors. I pulled up and tucked away my VW Up, which although I love it, isn't much to display. Sadly I spent all my car money on cameras!
Rockingham Coffee and Cars, is held on the last Sunday of every month, over at Corby rugby club. For just a fiver to enter, car lovers are welcomed in by event organiser Jamie Watson, and are handed two free coffee vouchers. £5, an absolute bargain! In the past I've shot a decent amount of motorsport, but very little static work. Which turns out to be a lot easier, seeing as these cars aren't actually moving. I had no idea what to expect when turning up, but was delighted to see a solid band of Skylines as well as a very subtle and elegant Mitsubishi GTO.

Of all the fantastic motors that attended, it was this fantastic VW Beetle that drew the some of the most attention and its easy to see why. When it comes to cars, I'm all about finer details and you'll likely notice that by looking through my gallery below. In particular, Alan Foot's immaculate MG Metro, displayed some some fantastic accents. For me, it was the red and green '1300' detail on the side, that drew my attention. Alan was kind enough to let me get a little closer to the vehicle, taking a lot of interest into it's OG interior.

Then of course we had the Lambo pull up, a bright orange Huracan Performante Spider. Now, I've always been more of a Ferrari guy, but had never until this day had the opportunity to take a really good look at a Lamborghini. Safe to say I'm converted, but still love Ferraris!

To pick out a favourite of mine for the day wouldn't do the rest of these cars any justice. Instead, I went home happy that I was being surrounded by a group of passionate individuals, all connected by their love for their 4 wheeled beauties.
The next event is already booked in on August 27th, Corby Rugby Club @ 10:00am, see you there!
There were a collection of other photographers in attendance. I highly recommend you take a look at more of their work from the event. Their Instagram accounts are below.
